Reviewing

Manuscripts Consideration and Reviewing

The Editorial office of Polycentric world journal uses double-blind peer review method. The key criteria for assessing the material used in reviewing are the relevance and scientific novelty of the research, the originality of the research and the conclusions formulated, the validity of the developed methods, the hypotheses put forward, the applicability of the conclusions, the compliance of the style of the article with the requirements for the preparation of scientific publications.

After the manuscript is received by the Editorial office, it undergoes an initial consideration and verification for compliance with the journal's remit, general requirements and standards. The Editorial office has the right to reject a submitted article without reviewing it if formal requirements are not met (see General Requirements and Standards for Articles sections). The corresponding notification will be sent to the author by e-mail.

The Editorial office is responsible for making decisions regarding articles received for consideration, for maintaining the confidentiality of information about articles received and their authors, for agreeing on the final versions of the article with the authors before sending the materials to print. If there is a conflict of interest arising from competitive, collaborative or other relationships or connections with one of the authors, companies or organizations associated with the articles, the editor must recuse himself from reviewing the manuscript.

Reviewing Procedure

Reviewers are responsible for carrying out the double-blind peer review, for following the requirements of maximum objectivity, for carrying out reviewing on a voluntary basis, for the obligation of non-disclosure to third parties of information about articles submitted for review, respect for copyright, non-use of submitted original materials or fragments thereof in their research or for private purposes.

A letter confirming receipt of the manuscript and its inclusion in the review cycle is sent to the author in 5 working days. The resolution, which formulates a recommendation on the possibility of accepting the manuscript for publication or refusing publication, is sent by the reviewer to the Editorial board in 30 working days.

After the Editorial office receives the review in 20 working days, the author is sent a response with the following options for formulating a reasoned decision: recommend for publication without modification / recommend for publication taking into account the comments and suggestions of the reviewer / recommend a significant revision of the manuscript with subsequent re-review / refuse publication.

The revision of the article after review and re-submission of the manuscript to the Editorial office are implemented by the author within 30 working days after sending the author information about the need to make changes.

Storage and Provision of Reviews

Reviews are kept by the journal's Editorial office for at least 5 years. The Editorial office does not send the full texts of reviews to the authors, but only provides suggestions for improving the article.
