Standards for Articles

General Parameters

Manuscripts ought to be submitted in .doc or .docx format. Articles should be sent to the journal's e-mail address journal.pw@yandex.ru.

Font is Times New Roman. Size is 14. Line spacing is 1. First line indent is 1,25. Alignment is by width. For Bibliography and References headlines, alignment is by center. Paragraph spacing is 12 points (after).

Footnotes

Font is Times New Roman. Size is 10. Line spacing is 1. Alignment is by width without indentation.

The volume of the original scientific article, including metadata, is 30–50 thousand characters with spaces. The volume of reviews and reviews of scientific events is 20–30 thousand characters with spaces. The volume of scientific literature reviews is 40–80 thousand characters with spaces.

Metadata

Metadata in English is located before the text of the article. Metadata in Russian is located at the end of the article after Bibliography and References. Authors who do not speak Russian should indicate this in the cover letter. In such a case, the Editorial office will assist in translating the metadata into Russian.

Metadata in English:

  • Title of the Article (bold font, uppercase letters);
  • Author’s name, the first letter of author’s patronymic (if any), author’s surname;
  • Author’s scientific degree, author’s academic status;
  • Organization (City / Town, Country, author’s position);
  • Author’s ORCID;
  • Author’s e-mail;
  • Abstract (200–250 words);
  • Keywords (7–10 words / phrases).

Metadata in Russian:

  • Title of the Article (bold font, uppercase letters);
  • Author’s surname, author’s name, the first letter of author’s patronymic (if any);
  • Organization (City / Town, Country, author’s position);
  • Author’s scientific degree, author’s academic status;
  • Author’s ORCID;
  • Author’s e-mail;
  • Abstract (200–250 words); it ought to be Russian adaptation of English text of abstract, not a literal translation;
  • Keywords (7–10 words / phrases).

Article Structure

The article ought to have a clear structure and be divided into sections. The purpose of the study and its objectives ought to be clearly defined, the materials and methodology ought to be described. The results ought to clearly correlate with the assigned objectives. It is possible to formulate a hypothesis.

  • Introduction / Research Issue
  • Methodology and Methods / Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion / Discussion

Depending on the features and genre of the article, not all sections may be presented in the text. The sections themselves may be named according to their internal content.

Headings are in bold font. Other bold and italics in the text are not acceptable.

Tables and Figures

All tables and figures ought to be numbered and named. In the text of the article, it ought to be reference to tables and figures. Source ought to be pointed. Tables ought not to contain empty columns.

Citations

The journal uses the Harvard citation style. The surname of the author of the quoted or mentioned publication, the year of publication, and the page number on which the quoted text is located, separated by commas, are pointed in square brackets.

Bibliography and references include news from newspapers and electronic media, press releases, official documents and other sources. Authors can use footnotes only for substantive notes.

Electronic resource citation includes first words of the title of the item cited or mentioned in the article.

Bibliography

Authors ought to format bibliography items according to GOST R 7.0.108–2022. Elements of bibliography item are not separated by dash.

Items in the bibliography are given in alphabetical order. Publications in Russian are listed first, then publications in foreign languages are listed.
